Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center
The new Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center is a comprehensive Mental Health Treatment Center with the goal of bringing substantial new levels of service to an underserved area, providing access to mental health and substance use disorder treatment at all levels of the continuum of care for residents of the Permian Basin region of Texas. The 300,000 SF program includes 200 beds for adult, forensic, geriatric, and pediatric populations.
In addition to inpatient beds, the Behavioral Health Center includes two High-Intensity Behavioral Health Emergency Centers, one for Adults and one for Pediatrics as well as a Sobering Center, Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment suite, Partial Hospitalization Program & Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP), and traditional outpatient therapy including individual and group psychotherapy and psychiatric support.
Upon completion, the Behavioral Health Center will fill the existing gaps in mental health and SUD treatment for the region and be a collaboration between the various providers responsible for providing care to the region’s population at all levels.
